On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs, we are looking for a number of Skilled CNC Machinists for a 12-month contract based in Annesley.
Purpose of the role:
- To support the manufacture and inspection of aerospace components using precision machining and inspection techniques.
- To ensure all products meet strict engineering, safety, and quality standards in line with technical specifications.
- To contribute to efficient shopfloor operations by working flexibly across multiple manufacturing processes.
What you’ll do as a Skilled CNC Machinist:
- Carry out machining or inspection, and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities in line with technical instructions and engineering drawings.
- Set up, operate, and run programmes across a range of manufacturing equipment.
- Work across multiple shopfloor areas including machining, inspection, welding processes, furnace operations, and polishing.
- Process components such as blades, discs, blisks, and drums to required specifications.
- Collaborate closely with support functions to resolve production or quality issues.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
- Work flexibly across shift patterns including days, 2-shift, 3-shift, or 4-shift rotations depending on business needs.
The skills you’ll need as a Skilled CNC Machinist:
- A recognised Level 3 qualification and Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Time-served experience in machining and/or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical instructions, and inspection procedures.
- Experience in manufacturing, machining, or inspection (aerospace experience desirable but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shift patterns.
