First People Solutions is recruiting for a leading consulting engineer based in the centre of Edinburgh. This company has built a strong and stable presence across civil, structural, and infrastructure engineering, and are recognised as a well-respected consultancy. They’ve received multiple industry awards for sustainability, design excellence, and innovation, with several projects celebrated for their cultural and environmental impact.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to take a lead role within their Edinburgh office. You’ll oversee a team of engineers and technicians, manage key infrastructure and development projects, and have the opportunity to progress toward Associate level. The role will be predominantly office-based, as they are looking for a hands-on manager who can provide day-to-day guidance and support to a team of graduate engineers and technicians.
Your experience, background and approach to work will include:
- Experienced Civil Engineer with strong technical and design capability
- Skilled in Civil 3D and InfoDrainage is essential
- Able to manage projects independently and deliver to high standards
- Confident working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
- Chartered or working toward chartered status
