We are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced SENTeaching Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term basis at a welcoming primary school in Redditch

This SENTeaching Assistant role will run for the full academic year and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive, values-led school environment that places pupils at the heart of everything it does.

The school is a friendly, inclusive primary school with a strong community ethos. Staff work closely together to ensure pupils are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. The school promotes high expectations, positive behaviour, and a nurturing learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

As aSENteaching assistant, you will:

  • Working within the nest with other senior members of staff
  • Deliverintervention group workto support attainment and progress
  • Provide classroom support under the direction of the class teacher
  • Support pupils with varying abilities, including those needing additional support
  • Help maintain a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other teaching assistants

Requirements

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification(ideal)
  • If no qualification,a minimum of 1 years experience working in a schoolis essential
  • Previous experience as ateaching assistantin a primary school setting or SEN setting
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Commitment to supporting childrens learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
