We’re recruiting for a market-leading manufacturer supplying many of the UK’s biggest retailers and brands.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a busy production shift, lead a large team and play a key role in driving performance, safety and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage Production Team Leaders and oversee a team of around 55 Operatives and Technicians.
You’ll be responsible for delivering production targets, developing your people and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality and operational performance.
- What you’ll be doing
- Leading and developing Production Team Leaders and shift teams.
- Delivering production plans safely, on time and to quality standards.
- Driving continuous improvement and reducing waste.
- Managing labour, productivity and shift performance.
- Coaching, developing and motivating your team.
- Managing performance, attendance and people development.
- Working closely with Engineering, Planning, Technical and Logistics.
- Maintaining excellent Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
- What we’re looking for
- Previous Shift Management experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience leading Team Leaders and large operational teams.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety.
- Experience improving performance, efficiency or productivity.
- A confident decision maker who enjoys developing people.
Desirable
- IOSH or NEBOSH.
- HACCP or Food Safety qualifications.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Experience within an automated manufacturing environment.
