Our client is a global leader within the engineering space, providing innovative solutions to customers worldwide. They are looking to add an enthusiastic Buyer to their purchasing team, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring materials are ordered, tracked and delivered efficiently while working closely with both suppliers and internal departments.
Main Responsibilities for the Buyer:
- Raising and issuing purchase orders
- Chasing suppliers for delivery updates and outstanding orders
- Updating the sales team with delivery information
- Maintaining sales boards with the latest supply information
- Adding order acknowledgements into the MRP/SAP system
- Running shortage reports for customer orders
- Raising requisition orders
- Monitoring and updating delivery schedules
- Communicating supplier price changes to internal teams
- Providing ad hoc support to the stores department when required
Skills & Experience required for the Buyer:
- Previous experience in a Buyer or Purchasing role
- Alternatively, strong administration experience within a purchasing or manufacturing environment
- SAP experience is essential
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Confident liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Able to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a busy environment
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
Salary & Working Hours of the Buyer:
- Competitive (depending on experience)
- Full-time, Monday to Friday
