For over 20 years, the company has delivered fresh food solutions to pupils and staff at Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Colleges across the UK, catering more than 1,000,000 meals a week. Our “Fresh Food Policy” underpins our success and growth and supports our site-based teams.

Job Details

  • Role: Catering Manager
  • Location: Tollgate Primary School, Newbury
  • Salary: ÂŁ13.35 per hour
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
  • Term-time only

Note: The role is term-time only with no weekends, offering flexibility for suitable applicants.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
  • Ensure the location meets statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.
  • Maintain and enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service, consistently meeting client and customer expectations.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the location and supervise teams, including inventories, budget monitoring, and implementing action plans.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the client in your school, making regular adjustments and improvements as needed.
  • Communicate with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets to ensure they are achieved.
  • Support and train teams, lead from the front to ensure everyone can excel, complete training, and manage performance.
