Our client develops turnkey projects for large facilities, for both own and third parties, and offers Operation and Maintenance services. They are currently present in the leading markets: Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Latin America, as well as through strategic agreements with major partners in countries such as Israel and the United Kingdom. As part of their plans to set up independent operations in the UK, they are looking for a Project Developer to identify potential opportunities in the region.

Job Description

  • Identify new opportunities
  • Negotiate with landlords
  • Lead prefeasibility studies
  • Deal with DNOs
  • Set relationships with consultants for Planning Application
  • Negotiate with suppliers for BOS deliveries; negotiate projects with stakeholders, utility companies, manufacturers etc.
  • Drive, perform and/or guide the steps of obtaining fully permitted sites for PV development and construction
  • Prepare economic analysis and forecasts, and prepare project related business cases
  • Experience dealing with PPAs, FIT, ROC and any other sale of energy mechanism

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar job role, preferable in Renewable Energy
  • At least 2 years of experience in the PV Solar Sector
  • Strong understanding of how to develop green field projects
  • Strong business and operational understanding: Solar technology, Grid‑connected plants, Civil works, MV/LV Devices, Operations and Maintenance practices
  • Fluent in English (native level)
  • Team player, open to adapt and learn, easy‑going in personal relationships
  • Ability to deal with complex transactions
  • Currently living and working in the UK
