A leading Global Beauty Group is seeking a Management Accountant – German Speaking to be based in their offices in London. This role will join the Finance department.

FUNCTIONS
We are currently looking for a proactive and flexible German Speaking Management Accountant to join the Finance department, with a proven track record of having worked in Germany to support the organic growth of the firm. This new position will report to the Finance Controller and is part of a team working on their portfolio of other brands. The Management Accountant will interact closely with various departments across the company, especially with the Ops team in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Month end / Year end
- Oversight of the general ledger / German and UK GAAP
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Month-end reporting package and budget processes
- Assist with Audit requests
- Taxes
- Experience of German VAT and EU VAT
- Tax compliance
- Coordination with our tax experts in our countries of operation
- Inventory and production, in collaboration with the cost controller
- Inventory reconciliation
- COGS analysis
- Gross Margin analysis by customer
- Bank
- Weekly cash flow reports
- Review and Submission of payments run
- Receivables
- Ensure all customers are invoiced in due time
- Cash collection
- Payables
- Review of A/P invoices booked in the system (GL, coding, analytics)
- Validation of raised POs (fixed assets, from an accounting perspective)
- Fixed assets
- Fixed asset management (FA register, capitalization, depreciation)

Must Have:
- Part qualified with experience, strong management, and financial accounting knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Experience and flexibility to work with time zone differences (UK/USA/Europe)
- Highly proficient at accounts preparation and financial analysis to get things right first time with attention to detail
- German Speaking and experienced in dealing with tax and VAT queries
- Confident IT user – Strong Excel skills
- Experience in an SME and international business
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central Dynamics
- Multitasking and open to additional responsibilities
- Proactive and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment
- Respect for strict deadlines and processes
