Fancy a role where you can mix strategy with a sprinkle of fun and a whole lot of cake? We are looking for a Category Manager who can get properly stuck into the world of cake decorations, mixes and kits and help move a much-loved category forward with confidence and a bit of flair.

We’re looking for someone who is ready to step up. You might be in a category exec role today but you will need to show you can own customer conversations, build trust quickly and guide decisions with confidence. You’ll split your time between being the go‑to category voice for major retailers and being the insight engine that fuels brand teams internally:

  • 50% building strong relationships with buyers across Morrisons, Tesco, ASDA and JS and turning insight into clear calls to action they can get behind.
  • 50% driving actions and opportunities across marketing and commercial teams by feeding in shopper understanding, spotting what is next and shaping the development of campaigns and NPD.

There is already a strong footing with some retailers and a few areas that need a bit of love and challenge. Nothing dramatic, just the kind of classic category puzzles that make the job interesting. Be ready to step into a business that has just launched a three-year category vision with clear opportunities mapped out and the early work already starting for 2027 projects.

There's a ton of scope to put your mark on the future of the cake category especially around trend spotting and leading the insight behind new launches. Halloween, Easter and even pancake day! There’s always seasonal planning to be cracking on with in this role and you’ll be leading the pack to redefine what good looks like.

You should be comfortable with their data stack too including Excel, PowerPoint and systems like Circana, Nielsen, Kantar and retailer data platforms. We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, inquisitive and commercially sharp to join this warm tight-knit team that will soon come to be like a second family. And someone who’s genuinely excited by the idea of shaping a category loved by families across the country!

If that sounds like your kind of next step, this is your chance to bake something brilliant into your career.
