  • Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Dosimetrist to join our Radiotherapy Physics team.

The role involves planning and delivering advanced radiotherapy treatments using Varian Halcyon, Edge and Ethos linacs, including on‑line adaptive radiotherapy and stereotactic treatments.

The department operates a state‑of‑the‑art Varian Aria oncology management system and Eclipse planning software, and supports a range of clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the day‑to‑day treatment planning section, principally computer planning of patients undergoing radiotherapy, including routine and complex treatments.
  • Participate in the work of the mould room.
  • Act as Operator and Practitioner under the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017 (IR(ME)R) with written authorisation and local procedures.

Essential Qualifications

  • Honours degree in Therapeutic Radiography or another appropriate science subject.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Extensive experience in radiotherapy treatment planning.

Desirable

  • Experience with the Eclipse treatment planning system and Varian Aria oncology management system.
  • Experience training others in treatment planning.
  • SABR treatment planning experience.
  • Other Requirements
  • Disclosure and Barring Service check required.
  • UK professional registration is required.
