About: CATCHES is a SaaS start-up backed by some of the most influential names in luxury fashion globally. We blend advanced 3D rendering, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Visual Effects (VFX) techniques to deliver unparalleled shopping experiences for luxury fashion and exclusive events. Our platform depends on rock-solid, scalable backend infrastructure and first-class developer tooling to keep us moving quickly.

Role: We’re looking for a seasoned Backend / DevOps / Tooling Engineer who thrives at the intersection of software delivery and cloud operations. You’ll own internal platforms, pipelines and services that let our product teams ship fast and safely. Drawing on your experience building highly-available cloud-native and .NET systems, you will level-up our engineering velocity and reliability. You will collaborate with game-tech, data and frontend engineers; set technical direction for CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code; and coach colleagues on DevOps best practice as we scale our GCP-first architecture (with selective workloads on Azure and AWS).

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines and APIs in C#/.NET.
  • Evolve our cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform for high-throughput, low-latency workloads.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Bicep) and automated release workflows that enable true continuous delivery.
  • Drive observability: log aggregation, metrics, distributed tracing and on-call runbooks.
  • Champion security, cost-efficiency and performance tuning across our services.
  • Collaborate with product and platform teams to ship end-to-end features and migrations.
  • Mentor engineers in clean code, SOLID principles and DevOps culture.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience building backend systems and cloud tooling, primarily with C#/.NET.
  • Hands-on experience designing GCP/Azure or AWS architectures.
  • Proven ownership of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Azure DevOps, etc.) and release automation.
  • Deep understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server) and data-driven services.
  • Strong grasp of event-driven designs and messaging (Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.).
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, fully-remote start-up environment with high autonomy.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of cross-team collaboration.

Nice to have:

  • Kubernetes expertise (GKE/AKS/EKS) and container-native observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana).
  • NoSQL experience (Firestore, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
  • Experience with game-backend scales, real-time services or hybrid cloud / bare-metal deployments.
  • Contributions to open-source DevOps or cloud-native projects.
  • Knowledge of WebGL/3D pipelines and asset-build tooling.

What working with CATCHES looks like:

  • Fully remote-first, async-friendly, with optional coworking allowances.
  • High-trust, low-bureaucracy environment that values experimentation and shipping.
  • Early influence on product, architecture and engineering culture.
  • A small, experienced team that cares about sustainable pace—minimal meetings, maximal impact.
  • Cutting-edge tech, luxury-fashion creativity, and game-industry scale challenges combined.

Tech Stack:

  • Languages: C#/.NET (primary), Go, Python.
  • Cloud: GCP (primary), Azure & AWS for specific workloads.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Redis.
  • Messaging: Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus.
  • Infra & Ops: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/Bicep, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build.
  • Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Elastic.
