Our Amazon Supported Internship requires a skilled trainer to support interns in gaining workplace experience and advancing to meaningful employment. We need a professional to provide comprehensive training and oversight for Catch 22 students across Amazon department rotations and competitive work environments.

Performance Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training and integration of Catch 22 students into Amazon department rotations and competitive work environments.
  • Provide individual training and support at the host business or competitive job site, covering skills training, natural support building, reasonable adjustments, assistive technology, and more.
  • Communicate with staff, co‑workers, families, colleges, and supported employment agencies regarding intern progress.
  • Perform department, job, and task analysis; carry out employment planning with interns and relevant parties; attend planning meetings to assess strengths, interests, and challenges.
  • Problem‑solve training and employment issues in collaboration with interns, employers, families, job development specialists, steering group partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Offer positive feedback techniques and train interns in personal hygiene, communication, interviewing, and self‑management as related to successful employment.
  • Provide travel training to job sites when necessary.
  • Coordinate skills training and job details with all team members; provide required reports.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Ensure interns acquire skills for full‑time employment opportunities.
  • Uphold and promote host business standards (Amazon) and competitive work site practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Submit and complete appropriate skills training paperwork, including Access to Work applications and financial claims.
  • Recognise and act on legal responsibilities concerning intern safety and welfare.
  • Demonstrate daily work‑assignment accountability, punctuality, and attendance at training activities.

Qualifications

  • At least a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Level 2 teaching qualification (PTTLS or equivalent) or willingness to pursue.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in education or vocational training, or demonstrable knowledge of the challenges of such settings.
  • Experience working in an inter‑agency setting or demonstrable understanding of successful operation in such an environment.
  • Minimum one year of learner and employer engagement experience or demonstrable knowledge of best practice in engagement.
  • Experience working with disengaged or hard‑to‑reach young people.
  • Good practical knowledge of common ICT software, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
