About Catch22’s Education Hub
We provide alternative and special education for young people aged 4‑18, delivering high‑quality teaching and learning focused on relationships, life‑skills and meaningful qualifications. The Education Hub supports over 700 vulnerable young people through independent schools or tailored support programmes.
Where you fit in
As a Key Worker at Include Norfolk, you will manage, support and develop a group of young people and their families. You’ll build trusting relationships through individual sessions, group work, family visits and interventions such as reading, writing and targeted support groups. You’ll oversee a holistic, person‑centred approach from entry to exit, bridging academic, behavioural and therapeutic needs and preparing them for post‑16.
Main Duties & Accountabilities
- Work with Assistant Head Teachers and Pastoral Leads to develop a caseload and support students to engage, providing initial assessments of educational, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Co‑design, implement and review pupil support plans, establishing baseline data on attendance, attainment and predicted grades.
- Drive attendance, making daily attendance calls, attending meetings and running attendance interventions as agreed.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of delivery and concretion of learning lessons.
- Deliver 1:1 and small group targeted support, advice and mentoring as appropriate.
- Ensure all young people are risk assessed regularly for vulnerability and risk of harm.
- Track pastoral progress regarding attainment, behaviour and risk of exclusion.
- Refer to other agencies where necessary and participate in multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Work flexibly across settings, including school, college, court, police station and young offender institutions.
- Maintain up‑to‑date pupil support plans and record safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Implement behaviour policy and manage behaviours effectively and timely.
Resources
- Maintain accurate records for case conferences and professional meetings.
- Record details of contacts and sessions in the agreed database and produce reports for case reviews.
- Manage learning and pastoral resources, including digital technologies.
- Ensure all resources are risk‑assessed and appropriate for pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Qualifications
- Level 2 English and Maths desirable.
- Willingness to complete a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Level 5.
Additional Information
Salary: £28,000 pro rata (39 + 2 weeks) – Actual Pay £25,543.29
Weeks per year: 39 weeks (term time) plus 2 weeks
Hours: Full‑time, Permanent
Access to a personal vehicle is required.
