As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared and served safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Your role will help create a positive dining experience for pupils and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen
- Washing up, cleaning equipment, and sanitising work areas
- Supporting compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
- Assisting with stock control, deliveries, and storage of supplies
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Carrying out additional duties as required by management
Qualifications
- Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively
- Is reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment
- Has a basic understanding of food hygiene and safety (training provided)
- Is eligible to work in the UK and able to pass a DBS check
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
