In Justice, we work with adults and young people in the community and in custody, providing a range of services including offender management and resettlement, veterans in custody, victim services, gangs work and youth justice.

Your role will be to support service users to develop strategies to manage emotions and deliver interventions to foster self-confidence by knowing how to access appropriate support. You will also support service users to increase capacity to undertake activities to support daily living and encourage service users to engage multi-agency partners for treatment and other professionals/services (MH teams/support groups).

This role will involve working in close partnership with delivery partners, HMPPS, Voluntary Sector and other Criminal Justice organisations to promote and deliver our services and achieve the required outputs and outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle (this role will require travel to offices across the Gloucestershire area and travel to other offices for meetings and training).
  • Good basic education, including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
  • Experience of proficiently working with Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel.
  • Experience of working with people in the Criminal Justice System and/or disadvantaged people.
  • Knowledge of local partners/statutory agencies/associated services.
  • An understanding of the importance of risk assessment and management.
  • An understanding of safeguarding adults and children.
  • Understanding of emotional well-being support principles.

Screening: Successful admission to post subject to enhanced DBS check, HMPPS vetting check, and employer Right To Work in the UK check. The post-holder must have right to work in the UK. Shift patterns: Hours and days worked will change week-by-week on a rota basis. The work pattern will vary but start and end times of the day will be consistent across the week. Every 4 week term will include one working Saturday (with a non-working week day during that week) and one Sunday on call. Shift start times and end time will be between 0800-1800 and be a 7.5 hour work day.
