Job Description

About the Role

Working within the Catch22 Justice team (London region), this post offers an exciting opportunity to become a frontline practitioner within our Finance, Benefit, and Debt (FBD) services. Commissioned by HMPPS, this service supports adult male ex-offenders in understanding and addressing root causes of FBD needs, such as motivations, behaviors, and social capital.

As a Financial Wellbeing Advisor, you will join an enthusiastic, energetic, and supportive team that values collaboration and social impact. You will manage your own caseload, assessing and supporting service users\’ needs, and delivering risk-informed interventions in partnership with local providers.

Qualifications

  • Basic education including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Desirable: Relevant qualifications related to the Criminal Justice System.

Knowledge

  • Experience working with offenders or disadvantaged groups.
  • Understanding of how financial issues impact re-offending.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of risk assessment and local statutory agencies.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow processes from start to finish.
