Our global client is looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to support the build of a secure, production-ready Azure environment ahead of a wider delivery programme. This is an ASAP start, short-term engagement focused on building the Azure platform correctly from day one.
You will need strong hands-on experience across Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure DevOps, Terraform/Bicep, Infrastructure as Code, Azure governance, networking (VNets), RBAC, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, logging/monitoring, and greenfield Azure environment builds. Experience in enterprise environments is highly beneficial. You will need to be based in either the UK, Spain or Poland to perform this role.
Key Skills & Experience:- Strong Azure platform engineering experience, including building secure, production-ready Azure environments from scratch (greenfield)
- Deep Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD expertise, including RBAC, MFA, privileged access, admin groups and identity/security best practices
- Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform and/or Bicep for scalable, repeatable Azure deployments
- Strong Azure governance & security experience, including Azure Policy, tagging, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, logging, monitoring and cost controls
- Strong Azure networking & DevOps experience, including VNets, private connectivity strategies, Azure DevOps / CI-CD, and preparing environments for downstream workloads in enterprise settings
- Lead the setup of Azure foundations, including tenant review, subscription structure, management groups and resource organisation
- Design and implement identity and access models in Microsoft Entra ID, including RBAC, admin groups, MFA, break-glass accounts and enterprise integrations
- Establish a secure Azure governance baseline, including policies, tagging, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, logging, monitoring and cost controls
- Define and implement core networking and platform patterns, including VNets, private access strategy, connectivity decisions and deployment readiness
- Deliver Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform/Bicep/ARM to ensure repeatable, scalable and production-ready environments
Location: UK, Spain or Poland. Candidates must be eligible to work in this country.
