Our large end user client is looking for a PMO Lead to join them on a contract basis and work on their ongoing deployment of D365 F&O. The role can be completed on a remote basis, but candidates must be UK based. There will be some European travel required on occasion.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience working in an ERP deployment environment; SAP / D365 / Oracle
- Strong ADO analytical skills
- Relevant Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)
- Delivery focused with the ability to work well under pressure, manage/prioritise workload, consistently meet deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach
- A high degree of initiative and independent judgment with excellent troubleshooting and follow-through skills
- Articulate with strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to persuade and influence others to change behaviour patterns to promote the use of project management disciplines
- Advanced planning, time management and organisational skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, and leverage those relationships to deliver successful outcomes
- Exceptional administration and relevant financial management skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, and manage complex changes and dependencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in supporting management with clear and concise data analysis and presentation
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Project
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing ‘hands on’ PMO support and expertise to strategic projects/programmes within the Portfolio e.g. monitoring/updating plans, risks & issues, meeting minutes etc
- Continuously monitoring and evaluating projects through execution of the Project Assurance process to ensure they are complying with ST framework/standards and any other relevant internal processes and policies, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines
- Ensuring all project close activities are completed and then monitoring on-going activities such as benefits reporting to Portfolio Board/ExCo etc
- Management of meetings (preparation and distribution of materials, minute taking, ensuring follow up against actions and updating records/systems accordingly etc)
- Providing centralised support and guidance to project resources and other stakeholders through sharing relevant information about frameworks, processes, and procedures
- Influencing the behaviour of project managers and other key project resources to promote the use of best practice project management techniques and bring control to project implementation
- Monitoring Risks & Issues
- Identifying and implementing any improvements in existing processes needed to support project/portfolio management
- Assisting with recruitment activities for new project resources and on-Boarding/induction of new team members
- Procurement activities as required e.g. raising POs
- Assisting with administration of Portfolio Board meetings and follow up, including quality assurance of proposals, preparation of agendas, minutes etc
Location: UK Remote. Candidates must be eligible to work in this country.
