We are looking for an Azure Integration Developer to develop and support cloud integration solutions using Azure Integration Services. This is a hands-on individual contributor position focused on building, maintaining and supporting integrations used across a major global technology programme. The successful candidate will have genuine practical experience developing integrations using Azure Service Bus and Azure event services, alongside strong experience with either Azure Functions or Azure Logic Apps workflows. Candidates do not need to be equally experienced in both Functions and Logic Apps. The role will work within an agile development team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical designs and supporting applications throughout their lifecycle. There will also be some support for legacy applications using older .NET, SQL and BizTalk technologies, although these are not the primary focus.
Key Skills & Experience:
- At least five years of total commercial technology experience
- Genuine hands-on experience developing and supporting integrations using Azure Integration Services
- Strong practical experience with Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics, subscriptions, retries and dead letter handling
- Experience using Event Grid and Event Hubs within event-driven integration solutions
- Strong development experience with either Azure Functions or Azure Logic Apps workflows
- Ability to explain the purpose of different Azure integration components and select appropriate services for a given requirement
- Experience developing and supporting secure API and messaging-based integrations
- Understanding of integration security, including authentication, authorisation, managed identities, Key Vault, OAuth and secure API access
- Understanding of cloud integration design patterns and the ability to implement agreed technical solutions
- Experience producing clear technical designs, specifications and supporting documentation
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications
- Experience supporting production integrations, investigating issues and maintaining stable services
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines

Main Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality Azure integration solutions that meet agreed project requirements and development standards
- Build and support integrations using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Azure Functions or Logic Apps workflows
- Implement functionality according to agreed technical designs and timescales
- Ensure developed solutions are maintainable, secure and suitable for future development
- Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Produce clear technical documentation for internal and external use
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver against agreed requirements and deadlines
- Contribute to requirements gathering, technical planning and design reviews
- Estimate development and testing effort
- Participate in agile development practices, including planning, reviews and stand-up meetings
- Support developed applications and help ensure they remain stable and reliable
- Investigate production issues and contribute to ongoing application maintenance
- Share knowledge and provide technical support to colleagues
- Participate in a planned support rota, expected approximately once every six to eight weeks
- Provide reasonable flexibility around major global go-lives and hypercare periods, which may occasionally require temporary shift coverage
Working Arrangements:
The position is primarily based around standard working hours. Due to the global nature of the systems being supported, candidates must be comfortable participating in a planned support rota and providing some additional flexibility during major go-lives. Location: Nottingham a minimum of two days per week - the specific office days are flexible and will normally be coordinated with the wider team. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
