Our client requires an experienced ERP Business Analyst to join them at the early stages of their ERP transformation journey. Initial engagement will be 3 months but is very likely to extend. Candidates must have proven experience as a Business Analyst within ERP programmes to be considered for this role. The role will typically involve 3 days per week on-site in Leeds.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Blueprinting Workshops: Lead and co‑facilitate structured design and discovery workshops with cross‑functional business streams to capture “As‑Is” and define “To‑Be” target operating models.
  • Requirements Gathering & Management: Elicit, analyse, and document comprehensive business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process maps. Ensure all requirements are traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process Mapping & Gap Analysis: Design detailed “To‑Be” business processes within the ERP framework. Identify, document, and assess gaps between standard ERP functionality and business requirements, proposing pragmatic workarounds or customisations where necessary.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders, from frontline operational staff to senior leadership. Navigate competing priorities to drive consensus on process design and project scope.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven ERP Transformation Track Record: Significant, demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst specifically on large‑scale ERP implementations (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM/CE, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, etc.).
  • Lifecycle Phase Expertise: Proven experience operating in the Blueprinting / Architecture & Design phase of a major transformation. You must understand how to transition a project from high‑level scope to detailed functional design.
  • Advanced Process Modeling: Strong expertise in business process mapping and notation (BPMN) using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or specialised ERP modelling tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience working in distribution, retail, manufacturing or other supply chain industries is highly beneficial.
