Our consultancy client is seeking an Embedded Engineer to join them for an initial 6 month engagement and work for a leading organisation based in Sunbury on Thames. The role will involve 5 days per week on-site.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with embedded systems (NXP iMX8 or similar platform)
  • Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer science
  • Expertise in debugging, and communication protocols (HTTP, MqTT)
  • Knowledge in JLink, JTag, ICE Debugger, Serial Port Debugging
  • Working knowledge of Linux
  • Good to have experience with Yocto build system

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design and development of real time embedded software and firmware, and PC/mobile based software application
  • Analyse domain specific technical requirement and modification as per end customer or system requirement and participate in software design
  • Perform software testing including unit, functional and system level requirement including manual and automated
  • Document technical deliverables like software specifications, design document, code commenting, test cases and test report
  • Develop software solutions from established programming languages or by learning new language required for specific project
  • Develop new approaches to complex design problems

Location: Sunbury
