Our consultancy client is seeking an Embedded Engineer to join them for an initial 6 month engagement and work for a leading organisation based in Sunbury on Thames. The role will involve 5 days per week on-site.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with embedded systems (NXP iMX8 or similar platform)
- Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer science
- Expertise in debugging, and communication protocols (HTTP, MqTT)
- Knowledge in JLink, JTag, ICE Debugger, Serial Port Debugging
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Good to have experience with Yocto build system
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design and development of real time embedded software and firmware, and PC/mobile based software application
- Analyse domain specific technical requirement and modification as per end customer or system requirement and participate in software design
- Perform software testing including unit, functional and system level requirement including manual and automated
- Document technical deliverables like software specifications, design document, code commenting, test cases and test report
- Develop software solutions from established programming languages or by learning new language required for specific project
- Develop new approaches to complex design problems
Location: Sunbury
