This is a critical hybrid role combining deep functional and technical platform ownership with a Product Owner mindset. You will be responsible for ensuring the platform is secure, compliant, and supports finance and warehouse operations effectively, including transactional processing, reporting, online sales, order processing, fulfilment, warehousing, stock management, and international tax requirements. The role will also support wider finance-related initiatives and international expansion, helping the business evolve with technology and automation at core. This is a hybrid role based in Surrey.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong Dynamics 365 Business Central technical and functional expertise, including configuration, finance functionality, and technical architecture (environments, extensions, integrations)
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in the design, configuration, support, and administration of Dynamics 365 Business Central and or Dynamics NAV (2016, 2017, 2018)
  • Proven experience implementing and enforcing IT General Controls (ITGC), and working within structured change management and governance frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of C/AL with practical experience of AL, and familiarity with robust DevOps and ALM processes for D365 BC deployments
  • Strong experience in system administration, environment ownership, security management, and data integrity
  • Experience owning and prioritising a platform backlog, writing detailed user stories, and managing a roadmap based on business value
  • Strong knowledge of finance processes and accounting principles, including multi company, multi currency, intercompany, and financial reporting in Business Central
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex BC issues using an analytical, structured, and methodical approach
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to translate technical detail into clear business focused outcomes
  • Competence with data analysis and reporting tools, including Power BI, and the ability to deliver actionable dashboards for senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing third party partners and consultants, holding them accountable for scope, quality, technical standards, and delivery

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Business Central environments (Dev, Test, Prod), managing platform health, integrity, lifecycle, and performance
  • Implement and enforce ITGC, structured change control, and best practice DevOps and deployment processes to deliver secure and controlled releases
  • Configure and customise standard Business Central functionality, reports, workflows, and forms to meet business requirements
  • Deliver minor development and customisation where required (for example AL changes and Power Platform integrations), or manage third party developers delivering this work
  • Design, implement, and manage the Business Central security model, user roles, and permissions in line with finance and compliance needs
  • Act as Product Owner for the BC platform, owning and managing the roadmap and backlog, translating business needs into detailed requirements and user stories
  • Stay current with Business Central releases and recommend enhancements aligned to business value
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and external stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure integrated delivery
  • Lead onboarding support and training for new users, and resolve complex user issues
  • Support new entity setup, including coordination on tax and regulatory considerations and associated data migration activity
  • Assess and help implement bolt ons and integrations (including with CE and Power Platform where relevant), and explore AI enabled automation opportunities
