We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join a respected academy in Pickering, North Yorkshire on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with site or facilities management experience looking for a long-term opportunity in the education sector. Site Manager – Education Sector (Temp to Perm) Location: Pickering, North Yorkshire Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday – Friday) Pay Rate: £15.31 per hour Start Date: Early October Enhanced DBS required (within the last 12 months) About the Role: As the Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the academy provides a safe, clean, warm, and welcoming environment for all staff, students, and visitors. You\’ll oversee day-to-day operations, manage site staff, and take responsibility for the safety, security, and maintenance of the school premises. Key Responsibilities: Maintain the overall safety, security, and cleanliness of the academy Manage a small team of site staff, ensuring high standards across the site Oversee all Health & Safety compliance, including checks, testing, and record-keeping Act as a key holder with responsibility for the security of buildings and facilities Ensure the premises are fully operational and safe for daily use Requirements: Enhanced DBS (issued within the last 12 months) – essential Experience in site or facilities management (ideally in a school or public sector setting) Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proactive and flexible, with the ability to use initiative Understanding of health and safety and compliance procedures If interested in this role, please apply or get in touch on (phone number removed)
