Catch 22 are working with a national public sector organisation at the heart of the creative and cultural sector to appoint an experienced Senior Facilities Manager on a temporary contract. This is a senior, strategic estates role on a clear short-term contract, offering hybrid working and the chance to make a real impact. You'll focus on driving value of contracts, cost savings and sustainability across a national property portfolio while working closely with senior stakeholders on high-level estates strategy.

Contract & Key Details

  • Contract: Temporary
  • Duration: Start date of June / July 2026 until December 2026
  • Rate: £276.18 per day (equivalent to £72,000 per annum)
  • Working model: Hybrid
  • Interviews: Microsoft Teams - 15th May
  • Location: Ideally based from Manchester (There is flexibility to work from other main offices including Birmingham, Bristol or London. Occasional travel to other sites is required (public by transport preferred).

The Role

  • Strategic estates and property management
  • Lease management, negotiations and lease events
  • Contract oversight and supplier management
  • Identifying and delivering cost savings across the portfolio
  • Supporting and implementing long-term estates strategy
  • Oversight of property-related budgets and financial planning
  • Ensuring statutory compliance across all estates activity
  • Championing sustainability, environmental initiatives and efficient use of space

Ideal Candidate

  • A degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in estates management, surveying, property, architecture or a related discipline (Preferred but not essential)
  • Significant experience managing a large, complex, multi-site property portfolio
  • Strong understanding of leases, contracts, dilapidations and negotiations
  • Proven experience delivering cost-saving and portfolio optimisation initiatives
  • Experience overseeing external consultants, professional services and contractors
  • Strong financial and budget management capability
  • Clear commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible estates management
  • Public or third-sector experience is advantageous but not essential.
