Maintenance Operative / Person / Handyman London | Full Time | Monday - Friday | £35,000 - £38,000 per year + Company Van and Fuel Card Our client is a well-established and growing residential property management company operating across London. They are looking for a reliable, practical and experienced Maintenance Person / Handyman to join their in-house maintenance team. This is a permanent employed position suited to someone with approximately 2+ years' experience in residential property maintenance who is confident working independently, managing their daily jobs and providing a professional service to tenants. Are you the right person for the job The successful candidate will have: Minimum 2 years' experience in residential property maintenance or a similar handyman / multi-trade role. Full UK driving licence. Good general property maintenance and repair skills. Basic plumbing knowledge and ability to carry out minor plumbing repairs. Basic electrical knowledge for minor maintenance tasks. Painting and decorating experience. Basic carpentry skills. Ability to identify and troubleshoot common domestic appliance faults. Experience changing locks, handles, fittings and carrying out small installations. Ability to assemble and repair furniture. Good problem-solving skills and ability to identify when a specialist contractor is required. Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with tenants. Ability to organise your workload and work independently. Own basic hand tools required. Specialist equipment, larger tools and materials required for specific jobs will be provided by the company where appropriate. What will your role look like You will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance across our client's residential property portfolio in London, including: Carrying out routine repairs and general maintenance. Attending and resolving maintenance issues reported by tenants. Troubleshooting problems and identifying appropriate solutions. Minor plumbing repairs. Minor electrical maintenance.
