Our client, a rapidly growing facilities management company, is recruiting for a Facilities Manager for a portfolio of commercial properties across South West (Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Cornwall, South Wales). This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the soft and hard services of multi-let commercial buildings, retail centres and industrial estates, playing a pivotal role in shaping their success. The client is open to a range of candidates from Assistant Facilities Managers looking for that next step up to experienced Facilities Managers seeking a new challenge.
Role Responsibilities
- Overseeing and inspecting contractors' work to monitor the performance of contracts - This may include security, maintenance, landscaping, cleaning contracts etc.
- Undertaking site visits, managing the delivery of the maintenance program and obtaining competitive quotes for works where necessary.
- Attending monthly review meetings, reporting on findings and updating management systems.
- Management of service charge budgets and client relationships.
- Ensuring that all PPM is forecasted, planned, and implemented by the service providers.
- Carrying out risk assessments and managing health & safety compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A professional Facilities / Property individual, with experience in leading and site management.
- Ability to travel across South West with daily and weekly site visits; some overnight may be required but not often.
- A minimum of IOSH Managing Safely certified.
- Financial and commercial acumen to build a stable and profitable business and develop a coherent strategy.
- A FM recognised qualification (or similar).
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage own workload and work on own initiative.
Role Package
- Permanent Contract.
- Salary varies depending on experience circa £40,000 - £45,000.
- Car Allowance.
- Bonus.
- 37.5 Hour contract.
- Flexible starting hours Mon - Fri.
- 25 days holiday + BH.
