The Role

Connected Places Catapult are looking for a new team member to support the Digital Construction International Programme. This is a flagship 3-year programme with the Department of Business and Trade. This programme shall be evolving the UK’s approach to Digital Construction from design and construction into the operational stage or 'digital whole life'. To support this we are expanding our technical capabilities to support development of the UK's product offer for 'digital whole life' so that we can build capacity for its adoption in the UK as well as internationally.

As a Consultant - Digital Operations, you will bring technical expertise on the Digital Operation of buildings and Infrastructure to help underpin our work in scaling the adoption of Digital Whole Life approaches and frameworks into UK and International Public Sector Clients. You will have an understanding of the technical frameworks, products and services needed to underpin this adoption (e.g. ISO 19650) of digital whole life management of infrastructure and a practical understanding of the human, cultural and organisational change needed to support this. You will be able to define and articulate the 'digital whole life' narrative from a complex concept into simple propositions that can be adopted at scale. You will be expected to engage with stakeholders on digital whole life and develop workshop materials, guidance, training materials, strategy papers, policy inputs and market insights. You will contribute to community building and sector leadership. This is an international programme so there is an expectation to travel internationally (e.g. potential for week long visits typically 3 - 4 times a year). For example, we are collaborating with Canada, Turkey and countries in eastern Europe, Central Asia and beyond. Training and mentoring will be provided to support this (including on diplomacy, safety and security considerations). You will contribute to the success of your area of the Business by providing excellence in client relationship development, delivery and opportunity management. Provide great work and develop your coaching skills to inspire others.
