Catalyst Labs is a leading talent agency specializing in Tax, Tax Technology and Transfer Pricing. We work directly with hiring managers such as Partners and Directors of Big 4/ Big 6 and Big 20 and in-house Tax leaders such as CFOs and Head of Tax, who understand the value of strategic tax leadership.
Location: Bermuda, Onsite, Hybrid

Compensation: The position's compensation is 20-30% above market and focuses on U.S. tax compliance and technical delivery for clients in the (re)insurance and investment fund sectors. For the right individual, there is an opportunity to progress to Partner within 1–2 years, subject to performance, business needs, and mutual alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead U.S. tax compliance projects for corporations, partnerships, and complex international entities.
- Review advanced U.S. tax filings for insurance businesses, investment vehicles, and global organisations.
- Oversee ASC 740 tax provisions and ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP standards.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor to partners, managers, and clients.
- Manage engagement execution, including planning, timelines, and quality assurance.
- Mentor and support managers and senior team members through guidance and technical review.
- Develop strong client relationships to drive retention and sustainable business growth.
- Take on expanding leadership and commercial responsibilities as part of the path to Partner.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (EA or LLM in Taxation also considered).
- 8–12+ years of U.S. tax experience in public accounting or professional services.
- Currently operating at Director (or equivalent) level, or a Senior Manager ready to step up.
- Strong technical expertise in U.S. corporate and partnership taxation.
- Solid experience reviewing ASC 740 tax provisions.
- Exposure to insurance companies, investment funds, and multinational or foreign structures (CFC, PFIC, FATCA).
- Comfortable working closely with partners and contributing to the broader success of the practice.
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage credibly with senior clients.
- Willingness to relocate to Bermuda (relocation assistance and work permit sponsorship provided).
