Our client is a successful tech scale‑up, a cash‑generative SME currently at c.£12m turnover and c.80 staff, looking to double in size in the next five years under the guidance of its experienced, highly charismatic and driven owner, supported by a first‑class senior leadership team including new CEO.
We are looking to strengthen the company’s Data & Insight capability, working closely with the organisation’s Operations Director who leads high‑performing Customer Service, Project Delivery, IT and HR teams, Datal Analyst.
As Data Analyst, based at the company's North East headquarters, you’ll turn customer, sales and operational data into clear, actionable insight.
Working closely with Marketing, Operations and Finance, this role is ideal for a detail‑oriented Analyst who enjoys translating numbers into recommendations that improve customer experience and business performance.
- Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Building and maintaining dashboards and self‑service reports (e. g. Power BI) for membership, sales and retention metrics
- Automating recurring reporting to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
- Ensuring reports are accurate, well‑documented and easy for non‑technical users to interpret
- Analysing trends in customer growth, churn, engagement and campaign performance
- Responding to ad hoc analysis requests from Marketing, Operations and Finance
- Identifying patterns and flagging risks or opportunities to relevant stakeholders
- Validating incoming data feeds from customer, EPOS and marketing systems
- Investigating and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with the Data Engineer Maintaining clear documentation of report logic and data sources
- Working with colleague teams to understand information needs
- Presenting findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Supporting the Lead Data Analyst in prioritising the analytics workload
- As Data Analyst, You’ll Need
- Strong, commercial Data Analyst experience gained in a similar role, preferably in a fast‑moving, growing health and/or tech consumer product/service business
- Degree or equivalent in Data, Tech or numerate discipline
- Strong SQL skills and confidence working with large datasets - experience with Python or R for data analysis also beneficial
- Proficient in Excel and at least one BI tool (e. g. Power BI, Tableau) – customer management and EPOS system knowledge advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to analysis, ideally including a basic understanding of statistical concepts
- Curious and analytical, with a genuine interest in what the story the data tells
- Able to explain technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders
- High integrity, collaborative approach with strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple requests
