My client is a leading international electromechanical engineering technology business, specialising in technology for the vastly growing electrification and transportation sectors. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, my client seeks 2 x Electromechanical Technicians to join their Test Function, working across two sites for a 6-9 month PAYE contract assignment.
The Electromechanical Technicians will be primarily responsible for:
- Product assembly and testing
- Test rig design, maintenance, calibration and fabrication
- Running Test programmes and report writing
- Assisting R&D Engineers with product analysis, FMEAs, design reviews etc.
- Continuous improvement activities
- General housekeeping
Working across the Gateshead and Northumberland sites across the working week, my client seeks experienced electromechanical engineering professionals with electrical and some mechanical expertise.
Additional selection requirements include:
- A good knowledge of electronic circuits
- Assembly, troubleshooting and testing of electronic products
- Use of electronic test equipment (Including DVMs, Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers)
- Soldering and rework techniques
- Computer literate (Microsoft Excel and Word)
- Driving license and own vehicle
- An HND or time-served in a relevant discipline
