Our client is a growing nationwide financial planning and wealth advisory business which operates from over 50 offices across the UK, employing more than 700 staff. Turning over £60 million, PE-backed and with £11 billion of assets under management, it provides impartial, specialist “whole market” advice for individuals, corporates and trustees on pensions, retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, investments and group risk and business protection matters, often working closely with other professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Group Remuneration Assistant to join a friendly team in Newcastle. You will report to the Group Transactional Manager supporting the transactional team in reconciling revenue and related activities.
Your specific responsibilities as Group Remuneration Assistant will include:
- Processing commission statements and reconciling bank accounts for business-as-usual income from the company CRM system, maintaining all necessary spreadsheets
- Liaising with the UK offices to obtain statements
- Logging into product provider portals to download statements
- Contacting providers via email/chat to obtain statements
- Typing up statements from postal reports to upload to the CRM
- Contacting providers to resolve queries via telephone and email
- Review unallocated transactions daily and ensuring these are being actioned, liaising with transactional manager if any issues arise
- Reviewing data for inconsistencies
- Complete month end reporting and analysis for the Group Transactional Manager
- Carrying out any other ad hoc duties or projects as required
As Group Remuneration Assistant you will need:
- Strong experience gained in a relevant Accounting, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable role, including hands-on familiarity with reconciliation processes, in a fast-paced, service-driven environment
- Financial services industry experience beneficial
- A cooperative approach with experience working as part of a team
- Analytical with great attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
- High standard and knowledge of Excel, MS Office as well as other office systems like CRM
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities
- Accountancy study or qualification beneficial
- A motivated reliable approach – friendly and professional at all times
- Flexibility and adaptable to change
Rewards and benefits:
- Basic salary £25,000 to £28,000 based on experience and qualifications
- To maximise pay/rewards, you must possess all outlined experience, skills, knowledge and qualifications
- 25 days holiday (rising with length of service) plus bank holidays and birthday day off

- Full time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- Office based role (Northern outskirts of Newcastle) with flexibility to work from home when appropriate after probationary period
