My client is a leading international electromechanical engineering technology business, specialising in technology for the vastly growing electrification and transportation sectors. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, my client seeks 2 x Electromechanical Technicians to join their Test Function, working across two sites for a 6-9 month PAYE contract assignment. The Electromechanical Technicians will be primarily responsible for:

  • Product assembly and testing
  • Test rig design, maintenance, calibration and fabrication
  • Running Test programmes and report writing
  • Assisting R&D Engineers with product analysis, FMEAs, design reviews etc.
  • Continuous improvement activities
  • General housekeeping

Working across the Gateshead and Northumberland sites across the working week, my client seeks experienced electromechanical engineering professionals with electrical and some mechanical expertise. Additional selection requirements include:

  • A good knowledge of electronic circuits
  • Assembly, troubleshooting and testing of electronic products
  • Use of electronic test equipment (Including DVMs, Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers)
  • Soldering and rework techniques
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel and Word)
  • Driving license and own vehicle
  • An HND or time-served in a relevant discipline
