Job Description My client, a leading international electrification business, seeks an Electronics Design Engineer to join their R&D division based at their South Tyneside operation.
Reporting to the R&D Manager, my clients seeks an Electronics Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design, prototype, test, troubleshoot and repair power electronic systems and assemblies.
Define methods, operations and sequences for qualification testing of components, circuit blocks, assemblies and products.
Engineering support to the product development team.
Establish and document engineering procedures.
Analyse and understand customer and regulatory requirements.
Design and debug power electronic circuits, components and PCB assemblies for new product development and sustaining projects.
Document generation, schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, simulations, circuit design calcs.
Design, setup and run tests to ensure the design meets specifications.
Develop and apply new techniques, circuits and tests for product design.
Maintain records and documentation on all designs, tests and analysis.
Apply current techniques and tools to improve cost, design time, reliability, durability, and manufacturability.
To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess demonstrable skills and experience in electronic design, specifically including the design of power electronicss, motor drives or static power conversion products.
Demonstrated knowledge of circuit analysis, simulation and design of experiments.
Good documentation discipline for due diligence and design verification traceability
