My client is a leading fabrication and engineering business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Working across a days and nights shift pattern, my client seeks an experienced CNC Miller to work on Mazak 5 Axis machinery.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the machine schedule is completed within the required timescales and to the correct drawing specifications.
  • Support Engineering during program prove out.
  • Work methodically through tasks whilst ensuring quality is not compromised.
  • Follow quality policies and procedures.
  • Highlight any quality or production issues to supervision.
  • Maintain product traceability.
  • Prepare and load materials on machines.
  • Maximise machine utilisation with minimum downtime.
  • Multiple machine running when requested.
  • Mentor apprentices and colleagues.

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you are a Time-Served CNC Machinist, with demonstrable skills and experience using Mazak 5 Axis. You will also possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, understand and interpret geometrical tolerances, and be competent working to and maintaining tight tolerances.
