My client is a leading fabrication and engineering business based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Working across a days and nights shift pattern, my client seeks an experienced CNC Miller to work on Mazak 5 Axis machinery.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the machine schedule is completed within the required timescales and to the correct drawing specifications
  • Support Engineering during program prove out
  • Work methodically through tasks whilst ensuring quality is not compromised
  • Follow quality policies and procedures
  • Highlight any quality or production issues to supervision
  • Maintain product traceability
  • Prepare and load materials on machines
  • Maximise machine utilisation with minimum downtime
  • Multiple machine running when requested
  • Mentor apprentices and colleagues

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you are a Time-Served CNC Machinist, with demonstrable skills and experience using Mazak 5 Axis. You will also possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, understand and interpret geometrical tolerances, and be competent working to and maintaining tight tolerances.
