Highly successful independent firm based in Newcastle is looking to appoint an inspirational Senior Audit Manager. Working alongside the company's senior leadership team, we are looking for someone who can successfully contribute to continuing growth, with medium or longer-term partnership aspirations. A recognised leader, this practice offers a broad range of very interesting and technically challenging work across a variety of industries, including some large international groups. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an enviable client base, also offering excellent flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Audit Partners and work closely with the senior leadership team
- Lead, manage, mentor and support the audit team
- Manage budgets, fees and WIP
- Play a key role in the recruitment to and growth of the Audit team
- Develop a portfolio of clients, grow business and win new work for the firm
- Review the work of the Audit business, resolve any staff and client issues
- Ensure quality client service delivery is prioritised every day
- Lead internal projects relating to regulation updates, staff training, technology and more
Qualifications
- Substantial commercial Senior Audit Manager experience gained in practice or external role, including leading and managing audits and teams from planning to completion, whilst providing first class client service across a variety of organisations and sectors
- ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent with the desire to attain RI status
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP
- Excellent skills in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, ideally with audit software
- Experience in transactional support, including financial due diligence
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – an inspirational approach with a positive, committed, solutions-oriented, calmness under pressure
