The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end payroll delivery for a portfolio of larger, more complex accounts, often involving multi-site operations and variable pay structures. About the role- Take full ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles for a portfolio of hospitality clients.
- Manage complex pay arrangements including tronc, National Minimum Wage compliance, salary sacrifice, shift-based pay, and variable earnings.
- Process high volumes of starters and leavers across casual, seasonal, zero-hours, and agency workforces.
- Handle time and attendance data, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in payroll inputs.
- Oversee RTI submissions, HMRC correspondence, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory payments.
- Support multi-site and multi-entity payroll structures, each with distinct rules and requirements.
- Proven payroll experience, ideally within a bureau or client-facing environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex payrolls, including variable pay structures; hospitality experience is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including RTI, statutory payments, auto-enrolment, and Working Time Regulations.
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as IRIS Payroll Professional (or similar) and strong Excel capability.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage client relationships independently.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to operate effectively in a high-volume environment.
- CIPP qualification or equivalent is beneficial but not essential.
