I'm working with a private equity-backed healthcare business that is building something genuinely impressive.
Led by an accomplished founder team with a clear vision, the organisation has grown rapidly and is now entering the next stage of its evolution. With a strong growth trajectory, significant investor backing and a model that is addressing a real challenge within UK healthcare, the business is looking to appoint its first dedicated People Director.
This is a rare opportunity to join at a point where you'll have the chance to build rather than inherit.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll take ownership of the people agenda across a fast-growing, multi-site organisation. The business has ambitious plans for both organic growth and acquisition, and the successful individual will play a central role in creating the people infrastructure, leadership capability and culture required to support that journey.
Having built a highly successful organisation with a strong reputation amongst both employees and customers. They are looking for someone who can help professionalise and scale the business whilst retaining the entrepreneurial spirit and culture that has made it successful to date.
Key areas of focus will include:
β’ Building a scalable talent acquisition and workforce planning strategy
β’ Supporting organisational design as the business grows into new locations and services
β’ Leading the people aspects of future acquisitions and integrations
β’ Developing leadership capability across an expanding management population
β’ Creating the systems, processes and reporting needed to support scale
β’ Strengthening engagement, retention and culture across the organisation
β’ Acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO, leadership team and investors
We're keen to speak with individuals who have experienced a genuine scale-up environment and understand what it takes to build people capability in a business going through rapid change. Experience in a private equity-backed business would be highly valuable, whilst exposure to healthcare or another regulated environment would be beneficial.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys building, is comfortable rolling their
sleeves up and wants to be part of a leadership team creating something significant.
Why this opportunity stands out?
β’ First dedicated people leadership appointment in the business
β’ Opportunity to shape the organisation through a critical growth phase
β’ Exposure to an exceptional founder who has built a highly successful platform and remains deeply invested in its future success
β’ Strong support from experienced investors and board members
β’ Genuine progression potential as the business continues to scale
β’ Equity participation alongside competitive salary and bonus
For someone who wants to move beyond maintaining HR functions and be at the heart of building a high-growth business, this is a genuinely exciting opportunity.
