Our client is a global technology business operating across multiple international markets, with a complex and high-volume payroll environment. Due to an interim requirement, they are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Specialist to support the effective delivery of payroll across the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands. This is a hands-on role with immediate impact, focused on ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll operations while coordinating with multiple external vendors. The position is offered on a six-month contract and is well suited to candidates who are immediately available and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international setting. The role is based in London with hybrid working, requiring two to three days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the UK, ROI and Netherlands, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for multiple external payroll vendors, managing relationships and resolving issues as they arise.
- Prepare and validate payroll input data, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to submission to vendors.
- Manage payroll reconciliations, including the preparation and review of reconciliation templates and variance analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end payroll activities, including reporting and audit queries where required.
- Ensure payroll processes align with internal controls, policies and local statutory requirements.
- Proven experience in an interim or contract payroll role within a multinational environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK payroll, with exposure to ROI and/or Netherlands payroll highly advantageous.
- Experience liaising with outsourced payroll providers and managing multi-vendor payroll models.
- High attention to detail, with strong reconciliation and data-handling skills.
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external providers.
- Immediately available or on very short notice, and able to commit to a six-month assignment.
