We are partnering with a growing PE-backed international professional services firm looking to hire an HR Manager to take ownership of people operations across the UK and US. This is a broad, hands-on role where you will sit at the centre of the business, managing the full employee lifecycle while overseeing HR operations, payroll coordination and office management responsibilities.
The role
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be the go-to person for HR across the business, ensuring processes run smoothly, systems are optimised and employees have a seamless experience from onboarding through to exit. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- You will manage day-to-day HR operations across the UK and US, taking ownership of the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, employee records and first-line support for managers and employees.
- You will coordinate UK and US payroll with external providers, administer benefits schemes and ensure compliance across all HR processes, while supporting audits and reporting requirements.
- You will take ownership of HR systems including HiBob and TriNet, driving improvements, building workflows and enhancing efficiency through better processes and automation.
- You will maintain and update HR policies in line with employment legislation and support governance and compliance activity.
- The role also has a strong operational element, with responsibility for Health and Safety processes, risk assessments and office compliance, as well as day-to-day office management including suppliers, facilities and workplace operations.
- You will also support end-to-end recruitment for selected roles, ensuring a smooth hiring experience.
About you
You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background, confident managing a broad operational remit. You will have solid knowledge of UK employment law, with exposure to US HR practices seen as a plus, alongside hands-on experience with HR systems such as HiBob and TriNet.
You will be comfortable managing payroll and benefits processes, have a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements and bring a high level of organisation and attention to detail. You will thrive working independently in a fast-paced environment, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a proactive, process improvement mindset and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
