Lead the reward and performance agenda for a PE-backed organisation undergoing significant transformation in Bristol.

About the Role

Our client is the UK’s leading investment platform in its evolution following a recent private equity acquisition. With an ambitious transformation and value creation agenda underway, they are seeking a Head of Performance & Reward to play a critical role in shaping how reward, performance and talent outcomes support the business strategy.

Reporting to the Group Head of Reward, this is a standalone, highly strategic position with responsibility for leading the organisation’s performance and reward agenda. The role will combine strategic planning, senior stakeholder engagement and transformation delivery, ensuring reward frameworks and performance practices drive commercial outcomes and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of the performance and reward strategy, aligned to business objectives and value creation plans.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, providing insight and challenge on reward, executive remuneration and performance-related matters.
  • Drive the review and enhancement of reward frameworks, policies, governance and operating models.
  • Lead key transformation projects across performance and reward, balancing strategic change with ongoing operational priorities.
  • Present recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders, supporting effective decision-making on complex reward issues.
  • Use market data, analytics and business insight to inform commercially sound reward decisions and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience in Performance & Reward within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong expertise across compensation, benefits, performance management and executive reward.
  • Proven track record of leading reward transformation, ideally within a private equity-backed or change-driven environment.
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with credibility at Executive and Senior Leadership Team level.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced reward leader to join an organisation at a defining point in its journey and play a key role in shaping its future performance and reward agenda.
