We are supporting a leading Wealth Management business on the appointment of an experienced Head of Commercial Learning to lead a strategically important commercial capability agenda during a significant period of transformation and integration. Following a major acquisition, the business is in a key foundation-building phase, evolving structures, systems and capability frameworks to support a larger, more integrated organisation. This role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering the commercial learning strategy across the firm.
The remit combines strategic leadership with highly hands-on execution. The successful individual will need to operate comfortably at both strategic and tactical levels ensuring the team are focused on the right priorities whilst remaining closely involved in delivery and execution across multiple business-critical programmes.
Key focus areas include:
- Leading all aspects of Commercial Learning strategy aligned to the People Strategy
- Supporting the creation of a new internal commercial/sales academy initiative designed to drive business growth
- Leading strategically important programmes linked to commercial excellence, sales capability and Salesforce adoption
- Managing external learning providers and identifying innovative commercial learning solutions
- Partnering closely with senior stakeholders across front office and corporate functions to shape targeted learning interventions
- Building scalable learning architecture, communities of best practice and “just in time” client interaction support
- Overseeing business systems and digital capability training, including Salesforce and Copilot adoption
- Driving data-led reporting and evaluation linked to business impact and performance improvement
- Leading and developing a team of nine across multiple UK locations
Required experience:
- Strong Financial Services experience essential, ideally within Wealth or Investment Management environments
- Significant experience leading large-scale learning and capability programmes
- Strong understanding of commercial/sales capability development and business development training
- Experience operating in complex, fast-paced, evolving environments
- Strong stakeholder management and consultative partnering capability
- Prior exposure to Sales Academy environments advantageous
- Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on delivery
