The Support Worker is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services directly in people's homes. This role is crucial in managing complex emotional needs, including behaviour that challenges and personality disorders, ensuring care is both effective and reflective of Unique Community Services' values. This role is aligned to supporting short (4-8 hours), and applicants should expect availability for this type of work to form a core part of the role. Shift patterns vary depending on the care package and support needs of each person we support.
Responsibilities:
- Mobility support and vital signs monitoring.
- Meal prep, hydration, cleaning, companionship, and emotional/financial support.
- Medication administration and accurate record-keeping.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year healthcare experience (community/home care preferred), especially mental health, autism, learning disabilities.
- Full UK driving license and PMVA training.
- Strong leadership, communication, empathy; flexible for varied shifts (nights/weekends/holidays).
