Join Nurseline Community Services to provide compassionate, high-complex mental health care at home for people with behaviour that challenges and personality disorders. We are looking for dedicated RMNs to lead the delivery of person-centered mental health services directly in people’s homes, ensuring care is both effective and reflective of our community values.

The Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) is responsible for leading the delivery of compassionate, person-centered mental health services directly in people’s homes. This role is crucial in managing complex emotional needs, including behaviour that challenges and personality disorders, ensuring care is both effective and reflective of Nurseline Community Services’ values. You may be required to work a short (4–8 hour) or longer shifts. Shift patterns vary depending on the care package and support needs of each person we support.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Guide and support a team of mental health professionals providing care in home settings. Make critical decisions on care plans and interventions, tailored to people’s immediate needs. Encourage a team culture of compassion, professionalism, and ongoing learning.
- Person-Centered and Compassionate Mental Health Care: Direct the assessment, planning, and implementation of mental health interventions at people’s homes, focusing on creating a supportive and understanding environment. Adapt strategies to manage and support people with behaviour that challenges and personality disorders effectively.
- Advocacy and Ethical Practice: Serve as a strong advocate for the people you support, ensuring their care respects their rights and personal dignity. Uphold and promote Nurseline Community’s values and ethical standards in all aspects of care and team interactions.
- Operational and Administrative Management: Maintain comprehensive documentation to facilitate quality assurance and compliance with health care regulations, including following care plans and thorough record-keeping.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current NMC membership.
- For newly registered nurses: At least one year of experience in community settings, preferably in home-based care.
- For nurses with 3+ years of experience: Demonstrable experience in settings with skills transferable to community care, such as forensic units or prisons.
- Proven leadership in managing healthcare teams, with a focus on mental health.
- Additional training in trauma-informed care would be preferred but not mandatory.
- Driving license is essential for community work and transport of the people we support.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- PMVA training is required.
