Swindon, 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday. As a Formulation Scientist, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to support the development of new Zydis® products. Working within New Product Development (NPD), you will assist with formulation batch preparation, testing, data reporting, and participation in customer project teams, with support from experienced colleagues. You will play an active role in laboratory‑based activities supporting feasibility, formulation development, GMP manufacture for clinical and stability studies, and ongoing project delivery.
Role
- Conduct feasibility and formulation studies under supervision
- Support preparation and manufacture of GMP batches for clinical and stability studies
- Carry out batch evaluation, physical testing, and product characterization
- Compile, review, and data‑check experimental results and technical reports
- Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment, and conduct routine compliance checks
- Support shipment of materials to customers in line with H&S procedures
- Provide laboratory and resource support across NPD to meet critical project milestones
- Communicate formulation data to internal stakeholders and customers, with guidance
Candidate
- MSc/BSc in a Scientific subject or equivalent technical knowledge
- A methodical approach to laboratory work and strong attention to detail
- The ability to plan and prioritize day‑to‑day activities to meet project milestones
- Awareness of data integrity, regulatory compliance, and documentation standards
