Are you a detail-oriented planner with a passion for driving efficiency and excellence in production scheduling? We have an opportunity for a Finite Production Planner to join our team at Swindon Zydis, where innovation meets precision in a 24/7 operational environment.
As a Finite Production Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating and executing short-term production schedules that meet both internal and external customer demands. You’ll work closely with Operations, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.
This position is a Monday to Friday role.
The Role:
- Generate and manage a 1–2 week production schedule aligned with customer requirements.
- Lead daily and weekly planning meetings, driving schedule adherence and readiness to execute.
- Have knowledge of entire production processes to understand bottlenecks and constraints.
- Monitor and report on schedule performance, identifying root causes and influencing resolution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to manage WIP, workflow, and resource planning.
- Support planning processes with data analysis, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with EH&S and GMP standards, including SOP management and training.
The Candidate:
- Strong communication, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload considering and balancing constraints.
- Ability to produce a detailed master production schedule considering all resources and materials available.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in a planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of LEAN principles and constraint management.
