Position Overview:

The role can be based in the UK, France, Italy or Germany and can be remote or hybrid, with travel to our site.

Catalent’s Pharma and Consumer Health (PCH) segment is a fast‑growing division focused on delivering innovative technologies and solutions that help patients and consumers access better treatments. PCH’s expertise covers Softgel, Liquid‑Filled Hard Shell, Solid Dose, and Zydis ODT technologies, serving Rx, OTC, VMS, and Animal Health markets. Our manufacturing network spans six sites across Europe and Asia, including Beinheim (France), Schorndorf and Eberbach (Germany), Nottingham (UK), Aprilia (Italy), and Kakegawa (Japan). Joining Catalent PCH means being part of a diverse, expert team improving patient outcomes through products targeting oncology, autoimmune and metabolic diseases, and key consumer health needs worldwide.

This role leads contracting activities for PCH EMEA, acting as a strategic partner to Business Development, Site Operations, and Legal teams. The position is responsible for developing, negotiating, and executing contracts with new and existing customers, ensuring agreements align with both Catalent’s and clients’ interests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leads the negotiation of complex, high‑value contracts in partnership with Business Development, Legal, PCH sites and other functional leads to achieve timely deal closure and growth expectations.
  • Responsible for tracking all contracts being negotiated for PCH.
  • Mitigates risk through understanding of proposed terms and conditions and develops recommendations for contract language to meet business needs.
  • Identify and communicate risk areas throughout the negotiation contract lifecycle and the renewal process. Escalate issues appropriately.
  • Drive compliance with Legal, organizational and departmental policies and procedures with adherence to processes and business rules.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring to others on the team and cross‑functionally, including BD team members that are leading other contract negotiations.
  • Provide ad‑hoc support in negotiating complex pricing arrangements and resolving disputes when escalated, including drafting and formalizing resolution agreements such as settlements.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or MSc degree.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, medical device or food manufacturing, with experience in commercial operations, business management and/or business development.
  • Experience negotiating complex agreements with senior executive‑level stakeholders or decision‑makers is required.
  • Relevant industry knowledge of drug product development and/or consumer product development, analytical research and development, project scale‑up, product manufacturing, quality, validations and regulatory.
  • Analytical, financial skills, business acumen.
  • Superior customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • Proficient in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Financial acumen.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, collaborative, action‑oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

  • Travel may be required (up to 20%).
