As we continue to expand globally across automotive, fleet, and retail sectors, we are looking for 2 high-energy Business Development Managers to drive new revenue streams and strengthen our market presence within the UK.
The Role: As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing long-term partnerships, and increasing brand penetration. You will be the face of Cataclean, working closely with distributors, motor factors, fleet managers, and retail partners to demonstrate the value of our preventative maintenance solutions. As part of the role, you may be expected to work evenings and weekends to support exhibitions and/or customer events. These commitments will be shared equally across the team.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify and target new B2B opportunities within the automotive aftermarket, commercial fleet, and industrial sectors.
- Relationship Management: Manage and grow existing accounts by providing technical support, marketing materials, and consistent communication.
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Product Advocacy: Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients to showcase the efficacy of Cataclean products.
- Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and legislative changes (such as emissions standards) to position Cataclean as the premier solution.
- Reporting: Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and provide regular forecasts to the senior leadership team.
Candidate Profile: We are looking for a "hunter" with a consultative edge—someone who understands the technical nature of automotive products but can sell the commercial benefits (ROI, reduced downtime, and compliance).
- Required Experience & Skills:
- Industry Knowledge: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, lubricants, or chemical additives sector.
- Proven Track Record: A history of hitting sales targets and successfully onboarding high-value accounts.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels (from workshop owners to procurement directors).
- Technical Literacy: Ability to understand and explain the mechanics of fuel systems, DPFs, and catalytic converters.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and able to work autonomously. Resilient, with a "get-it-done" attitude. Passionate about automotive technology and environmental sustainability.
