Freelance/Associate Pre-Employment Tutor
National delivery – own transport will be required
National delivery of classroom based short courses. Excellent daily rate £150 and mileage paid.
Role Overview/Requirements:
- Subject to an enhanced DBS certificate
- Responsibility for safeguarding learners whilst on programme
- Establish and maintain a safe environment for all staff and learners
- Deliver training and assessment on a range of short course qualifications
- Deliver classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed
- Be able to interpret the knowledge requirements in ways that are appropriate to learners at all levels
- Support learners in achieving their goals
- Embed wider topics: safeguarding, Prevent, EDI and British values
- Embed maths and English
- Demonstrate practical applications of vocational programmes
- Conduct classroom observations and assessments
- Adapt/develop appropriate learning materials
- Record and provide feedback to learners continually on their programme
- Complete attendance records and provide information for tracking student progress in their place of learning
- Share best practice and resources in training, learning and assessment
- Participate in standardisation meetings
- Prepare, maintain and monitor the training/workplace environment to meet Health and safety standards
- Be compliant with all required administration duties
- Be flexible in supporting the required needs of the business
- Willingness to travel and work away for periods of time
Skills/Behaviours:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills both at a written and spoken level
- IT literate
- Ability to work across all levels and engage with people accordingly
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail and high-quality work
- Good personal organisation, time management and administrative skills
- Self-motivated and effective team player
Knowledge/Experience:
- Essential that you hold a full teaching certificate
- Ideally have experience of delivering some of the following qualifications: L2 Lean, Cleaning, Customer service, Climate change, Infection control, Well-Being
- Working towards or hold the A1/TAQA/D32/33 Assessor qualification
- Have experience of training in an educational or workplace environment
- Have relevant industrial experience (warehouse/manufacturing/cleaning)
- Be flexible and demonstrate adaptability to meet the challenges and demands of the roles
- Demonstrate behaviour consistent with educational values
- Be committed to continuous professional development
- Have experience and an understanding of delivering inclusive teaching methods
