Castleton Commodities International (CCI) is hiring a Lead ETRM Solutions Architect to expand our Commodities Trading Technology team. This role sits at the center of our end-to-end trading lifecycle and is responsible for defining, architecting, and evolving the applications and integrations that support front-to-back commodities trading, from exchange connectivity and trade capture through Confirmations, Scheduling, P&L, Risk, and Settlements.
You will operate across a distributed application landscape and partner closely with Trading, Risk, Operations, and Technology leadership to deliver scalable, resilient, and well-governed solutions.
- Lead the design of integrations between ETRM platforms and surrounding systems, establishing scalable patterns and standards utilizing technologies such as Java, messaging frameworks, and enterprise data platforms.
- Architect robust data flows and integration frameworks, including mapping, transformations, validations, and exception handling, ensuring data accuracy, lineage, and control.
- Partner with Trading, Risk, Scheduling, Settlements, and Accounting stakeholders to translate business strategy and requirements into scalable, future-state technical architectures and roadmaps.
- Provide architectural oversight for production platforms, guiding incident response, root cause analysis, and the implementation of long-term, systemic solutions.
- Establish and drive best practices for operational resiliency, including monitoring, alerting, automated controls, reconciliation frameworks, and reprocessing capabilities.
- Govern architecture decisions with a focus on performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Lead design reviews and provide technical direction to engineering teams, promoting strong engineering standards, reusable patterns, and consistent integration approaches.
- Drive adoption of modern SDLC and platform engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, environment strategy, and release governance.
- Oversee and coordinate delivery across global and offshore development teams, ensuring alignment to architecture standards and high-quality execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong experience working with US-based leadership and global, distributed engineering teams, including offshore delivery models.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including architecture patterns and migration strategies.

- Event-driven and messaging architectures (Kafka, IBM MQ, TIBCO, JMS)
- Java and enterprise application frameworks (J2EE, Spring)
